EGR Delete Kit – Nissan Patrol GU TD42Ti (Factory Turbo/Intercooler, 2003 to 2006)
A common failure point on older TD42Ti's is the EGR tube running around the back of the engine, which can crack or break away from the exhaust manifold and send extremely hot exhaust gas straight into the firewall and surrounding components.
Removing the EGR tube and cooler takes the load off your factory cooling system, since it no longer has to cool exhaust gas before it re-enters the intake. That frees up capacity for what matters most, keeping your engine cool. It also opens up the driver's side of the engine bay significantly, making jobs like an oil filter change far less of a fight with brackets, pipework, and hoses in the way.
This kit includes new Inconel studs and copper Wurth lock nuts, since the factory studs are known to bind and shear when removing the original EGR tube. The water supply blank plate and heater hose joiner are made from 316 grade stainless steel, so they won't rust or need replacing down the track.
