Toyota 1HD-FTE Forward Facing Manifold Inlet Elbow – 3" Cast Aluminium
The perfect addition to any front-mount intercooler kit. This 3" diameter inlet elbow is designed for maximum flow, with no sharp edges or fast transitions in the bend radius.
The ridge-machined finish gives silicone hoses maximum bite, preventing them from popping off under pressure, a common issue with the smooth or poorly finished surfaces used on cheaper elbows. That's a serious reliability concern, since a hose blowing off under boost can unload the compressor and cause a sudden turbo overspeed event, a leading cause of turbo failure. Many competing products rely on a simple cast ridge that works fine at low to moderate boost but is known to fail above 30 PSI.
Manufactured from cast aluminium, it fits the OEM air temperature sensor via the M16 thread and includes two 1/8" BSP threaded holes for boost reference points. Two M12 bosses allow fitment of a bracket for the MAP sensor and other OEM components if needed, or can be machined off for a smooth finish if you don't require them.
Proven on high HP/TQ builds, including setups running our split pulse exhaust manifold and Inconel exhaust stud kit
